Jessica attended the The 23rd Annual Critics’ Choice Awards at Barker Hangar on January 11, 2018 in Santa Monica, California. Unfortunately Jessica, who was received a Best Actress nomination for her work in Molly’s Game, didn’t win. The winner was Frances McDormand.

Chastain was wearing a green gown by Vionnet Spring 2018.

Jessica attended the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California (January 7). Unfortunately Jessica, who was received a Best Actress Drama nomination for her work in Molly’s Game, didn’t win. As her first event of 2018 ( Happy New Year!), Jessica attended the 29th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala in Palm Springs, California on January 02, 2018.

Chastain was recipient of the Chairman’s Award for her starring role in Aaron Sorkin’s directorial debut Molly’s Game .

“I want to acknowledge what a difficult year 2017 has been for all of us,” said Chastain, who applauded the need for continued diversity in the film industry. “Major change is coming. Change is good. Change is needed. Through a joint effort we will make things better. We must be better. And we will.”

While the news has been saturated with stories of sexual assault and harassment, Chastain made a pointing of sending “some well-deserved love to some of the good guys,” listing such iconic filmmakers and actors as Christopher Nolan, Terrence Malick, Al Pacino and John Madden and the late producer-director Dan Ireland, who passed away in 2016. Early today (11) The Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced their nominees for this year’s 75th annual Golden Globe Awards and a Jessica received a Best Actress Drama nomination for her work in Molly’s Game!

The 29th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival will present Jessica Chastain with the Chairman’s Award for “Molly’s Game” according to Variaty .

“Jessica Chastain is an incredible actress who has continuously challenged herself with complex roles throughout her career,” said Festival Chairman Harold Matzner. “In her latest film, Molly’s Game, Chastain brings to life Molly Bloom’s story of a determined woman who goes from being an Olympic skier to making millions running an exclusive high-stakes poker game.”

Chastain received the PSIFF Spotlight Award in 2012, and received an Academy Award nomination for “The Help.” Past recipients of the Chairman’s Award include Amy Adams, Ben Affleck, George Clooney, Richard Gere, Tom Hanks, Dustin Hoffman, Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon.
